Dr. Sharon Hall is the Chief Executive of the United Kingdom Tea and Infusions Association (UKTIA), a role she took on in 2018. Her previous roles include Director General of both the Potato Processors’ Association (PPA) and the Snack, Nut & Crisp Manufacturers’ Association (SNACMA), where she gained extensive experience of high-level stakeholder engagement, strategic leadership, communications and issues management. She is President of Tea & Herbal Infusions Europe (THIE) and chairs THIE’s EU Green Deal Steering Group and the Plastics & Packaging Working Group. Dr. Hall also represents THIE on environmental and sustainability matters at FoodDrinkEurope.
Dr. Hall had the honour of being Chair of the FAO-Inter-Governmental Group on Tea 2022/23.
Dr. Hall has an honours degree in Applied Biology, a Master's in Science Communication, and a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (Plant Science).
